Thank you again - just as well you found that or I would have pinched out the side shoots!! Only ever grown Shirley tomatoes before!

SOPHIE'S CHOICE- DET (70 days) Unique, compact plant, 18-24 inches tall with extra early ripening red, 6-8 oz. fruit. High yields of full bodied but smooth flavored tomatoes. Heavy foliage cover and quite disease tolerant. Likes moist soil and cool climates. Family heirloom form Edmonston, Canada.

Sounds like that one be ok outside too, and no support or side-shooting required. Bonus!

Thanks for that. I have three of each type so can try one of each indoors and one out I guess. The spares will just get to live where there is space!

Not sure about Sophie's Choice, but the Brandywine are a cordon, and I grew them inside and out last year. The outside ones seemed to do better than the inside, they were grown in large pots up against a south facing hedge.
    hope that's some help

    Indoor or outdoor tomatoes?

Can anyone please help me? I am growing Brandywine, Sophie's Choice and Golden Sunrise tomatoes. I have a seed packet for the Golden Sunrise so know that they can be grown in the greenhouse or outdoors so will probably try one in each location to compare. However, the other two varieties were bought from a seed supplier and I have misplaced their web address to find the growing details, I have no problem with the how to grow them generally, but could do with advice as to whether they are bush or cordon and indoor or outdoor.

Thanks for the anticipated help folks
