I was planning on putting the hoops on, netting over and pinning down the netting with cheap tent pegs.

Hi Bramble - netting wasn't such a problem, it was the slippy fleece! I made my own tent pegs from some redundant extra large paper clips. Now everything has been tightly in place for 3 weeks, the carrots have shot up and I'm thinnning baby carrots already. Happy Gardening!
