Hi, daft question for you, but its puzzling me.
I have planted some Stuttgart onion sets and they seem to be growing quite happily, tall green shoots etc, however the bulb part feels a little bit squishy, not hard like I thought it would.
Should I be worried about this or is this what they do?
The slugs have been nibbling some of the bulbs too, so I have uprooted those and binned them. I did start them off in modules because of my heavy clay soil but have planted them on into a raised bed of better stuff.
Thanks
Janie

Thanks for the tip Lyndap, I've made a note of those names ready for next year.
