Does anyone have any experience of fan-training a cherry tree? I have bought a Stella which apparently can grow to over 10ft leading me to think it is on some sort of dwarfing stock as I know they can go well over that. Alternatively is it possible to keep it below 10ft by pruning.

sorry would check my hessayon but it is on loan. Just need a quick answer before deciding whether to plant at home or on the lottie to replace the dead plum.

never grown a cherry Earthbabe, but I'm told that as fans they can get quite big (for big read wide). Is stella a sweet one ? I'm at work (lunchtime) so I'm denied acces to my books as well

It's an eating cherry but apparently can make good jam. Miss E developed a liking for cherries this year. I'm happy to encourage such habits.
