Not heard of that one, seems it's hardy enough to be planted in Siberia and has some disease resistance.

It is grafted into a rootstock that is supposed to make it fruit sooner. Does it need to be columnar or can you let it branch out?

Looking for a tree really but suspect the rootstock will dwarf it a d it is the pruning that makes it columnar/column. Stop pruning a d it's a dwarf pear? Am I wrong?

Everywhere selling Decora online say it is a columnar pear, so it will be that variety's growth habit, not a matter of pruning.
Columnar doesn't mean dwarf, though. It's means it will grow tall and thin. It's perfect for cordon growing, I would have thought, but if its natural growth habit is columnar then you'll never be able to turn it into a standard bush habit pear tree.
