  • Hi from Kent

    Hi there

I'm new to the forums but not new to gardening. I've been growing veg and fruit for nearly 40 years.

I hope I can take and leave stuff here :

I'll take some caulis (I grew one good one last year). I'll leave some runner beans (they grow like weeds).

Hi Amy and a very warm welcome to the Vine. Funny you should say that, last year I grew great cauli's but the beans were scarce, so we could have swapped! Hope you'll enjoy your time on here, it's very friendly.

It's odd isn't it. Each year we all have our sucesses and failures.

I could have written that! One good cauli and all the beans you could want. I'm trying harder with the cauli this year though.

Welcome - it's good here. Where are you in Kent, if you don't mind me asking?

I was wondering what you were going to say!

You've got that phrase on "speed-dial", haven't you?

It's had two different names since then.

                            "Chequers Centre"

                            and now "The Mall"

                            It's very 1970s still.

Hi Amy, welcome to the Vine from me to. I was born in Maidstone (many hours of my youth were whiled away in the Stoneborough Centre) and now live just outside Ashford.
