  • Replacement grips for tools

I have an older hoe and edging shears where the foam/plastic/rubber grip handles have disintegrated - they are over 30 years old!

I'm trying to find somewhere where I can buy some replacements but my Google-fu is letting me down.

    Anybody have any suggestions please?

You could try wrapping the handles with self amalgamating SOS pipe repair tape. When overlapped it merges with itself to form a solid piece of rubber.

Wrap some tape round them, then a piece of rubber inner tube ?

Well, I can tell you any of the shops that sell golf clubs will do replacements on worn out grips.
As I do not live in the UK I cannot recommend any particular store.
        Hope this may help.

Either handlebar tape (for racing bikes), golf club grip tape, or tennis racket grip all of which are padded come in synthetic or rubber versions.
