Bloomin' expensive. Remember the hoo-haw when it went over £1 a litre?

131.9 here the last time I filled up, incidentally.

                  Petrol £1.38.9
                  Diesel £1.43.9

We receive a 5p fuel subsidy to keep it down nearer the mainland prices. It did reach £1.53 for diesel (£1.65 in the outer isles) before the subsidy was put in place. It makes you drive with a gentle foot and do all your purchasing in one trip. We have a running list for things that we need for the next trip. Online shopping has been the way to go for us.

Or even when it went over a pound a gallon (or 4.54 litres in young person talk)

when the esso tiger's tails came out the first time around, petrol was three shillings and ninepence pergallon. Itthen went up four pence per gallon in the budget to four shillings and threepence. Showing my age now
