There are lots of peas in that book Llamas, it sounds very interesting.

The changes in all probability will relate to new varieties and the controls placed on the noxious substances that would have then been available to growers back then. Cultivation methods won't have changed that drastically.

  • Fruit Growing by NB Bagenal 1948 edition..... still relevant?

I picked up this interesting looking book last weekend at an antiques shop and I'm as I'm happily leafing through it's pages and eagerly noting down particularly intersting chapters (propagation, planning, planting and particular fruits etc. ) I have to wonder if all this wonderful information is still relevant? It's a great book anyway and I'm looking forward to finishing it soon. FB? Are you out there?
