    Good morning all
The sun is struggling to appear but hopefully it will come out later.
Domestics this morning and then out to the park for a walk.

Snadgar, dont make any decision until nearer the time.

Eerie looking weather you're having Nicos.

Good luck with the vaccine this morning GF.

    Have a good day all

Snadger Christmas is always going to be a difficult time but you do what you're comfy with xx

Don't think I'll get in the garden today other things to do instead never mind I did get to pick raspberries earlier on.

    Enjoy your day

    Morning all

Well, you win some and lose some. My card game yesterday seen my silver pile well depleted but it was nice to have the whole family around the table together which was the main focus for the day.
Was chuffed I had three veg from allotment on my Sunday dinner plate before I went.Mooli, cabbage and onions were the ones from allotment with carrots (bought) and pork chops. Its still a bit depressing only making dinner for one but luckily I enjoy cooking my meal as much as eating it.
My Daughter invited me for Crimbo dinner at her place yesterday and I accepted the offer but I am thinking of changing that and cooking my own. I always have cooked for both me and Helen, so it will be strange just me and Kato here this Crimbo but I've got to get used to it.
I seem to have loads of half finished projects on the go and its time to start trying to finish them. Might try and finish bathroom tiling today, we shall see!

Morning all, my husband has just brought me my first coffee of the day. Even though I woke up naturally I really wanted to just snuggle back down again this morning. For a few years I used to wake up every morning in pain and completely lost that relaxed, happy, experience of just another 10 minutes (or half an hour) so now I tend to really savour it and enjoy it.
We're going for our covid boosters later this morning and then hopefully to the allotment as the sun is already shining. I've got to go shopping for milk at the very least today.
The weeding/wedding predictive text made me smile too. I could imagine everyone turning up in their weeding outfits on the big day. That would make for an amusing weeding album.

    Morning All,

Very early start this morning, very dark on my way to work.

Really need to work through sorting the wood store this evening. Stocks have dwindled fairly so need to get it back up to full strength ready for winter!

    Happy Monday

^^^ that made me chuckle too bramble/Snoop

Gf…what a lovely pressie! Sounds like an amazing experience!

Today is a workday - we’ve got some help with fitting a perlin in in our bedroom.( think chunky horizontal support under the roof tiles)
Its 4.5 metres long so going to take a fair bit of effort getting it through the bedroom window! I best have an extra weetabix methinks!

Once that’s in I’ll leave them to it and crack on with some camper stuff. I actually fancy a bit more weeding so no doubt I’ll find time for that.

Time for a brew….Hibou went out earlier so I expect she’ll be sat at the window wanting to come in by now.

Have a great day peeps - keep safe!

Glad you enjoyed the crackling Nicos. Some things taste even better when you haven't had them for ages. On the subject of presents my husband still says the best one I ever got him was a flying lesson. He was in his 80s at the time. I could have booked it online but I wondered how good the flying school would be considering it was quite a lot cheaper to book direct than through these "experience" sites you find all over the internet. Therefore the first part of his surprise was driving out to the airfield, about an hours drive away, where he was treated like a VIP while I discussed options with the staff. I found out I could book a 4 seater for only a bit more than a 2 seater and so I could go up with them at no extra charge. I paid for it and was told the best thing to do was ring up a day or two before a day with a good weather forecast and book it. The day we actually went up was amazing.
I must say the meal I cooked tonight was a success, our guest had seconds of everything and got sent home with apples, pears and grapes. I also got more weeding done at the allotment this afternoon.

    Evenin n’alln’all

    What a fantastic day!
Totally over eaten and I have to say that the crackling was exceptional .
Our guests were great company and both birthday boys clearly enjoyed themselves.

Its OHs actual burpday on Wednesday and I’ve not a clue what to buy him. Any ideas?
I guess we’ll go out in the camper of course!

Earlyish night for me….my face aches - I’ve been laughing too much

    See you in the morning…

Well, dropping back in again to say I've voted in the show. But the flowers were the most inspiring category. All absolutely gorgeous and if I could I would have voted for every single entry. Really made me think that I have to get my act together next year and make a start with flowers. But I've never grown any ever apart from zinnias when I was eight. Time to make a start. Can anybody recommend a book for total flower beginners, ideally with an emphasis on dry areas?
