    Morning all.

Getting into the swing of the clock change thanks to Mr Snoop who couldn't sleep. Going to be difficult tomorrow morning, as going on an early shop. To include bags of compost and some longish lengths of rebar for tomato and pea frames. But it'll mean leaving the house at what used to be 6.30 am. The dogs might have to wait for a walk till after we get back.

Anyway, interesting getting up so early as I got to see a very hard frost. So much for rising night-time temperatures. Anyway I shouldn't complain as this is par for the course, but our plum trees are now in blossom... Be interesting to see how much of that survives. The quince tree is still holding off from flowering at least.

Plenty to be keep me busy today, so better get at at. Have a great day, everyone.

Good evening all. A very breezy afternoon so the laundry was dry really quickly.
I put up some protection for to shelter the sweet peas from the worst of the breeze.
Spent some time rearranging my greenhouse to make the most of the space.
all the geraniums I overwinter in the greenhouse are flowering.
    Have a good evening all.

Cooking on Gas Snoop I've just made mince pies for the outlaw, can't get any more jars of mincemeat for love nor money. Also did 4 lbs of pastry for the freezer, she has an Apple pie almost weekly now, so I am always prepared. About to take in the washing, it's dry. It's supposed to be good weather here on Monday and Tuesday. Of course it is, I'll be at work.

So there we were, admiring the ducks and geese (we think), waiting for the man to turn up and Mr Snoop says, "All we need is a picnic". But we didn't have one. Might go back. Some of the ducks and geese were certainly hoping we'd got something for them, as they came scooting over to inspect us.

Anyway, cooker bought. It's a long time since I had a gas oven. It's a very old Rangemaster with two ovens. Not in prime condition, but it seems to work, which is what counts. Made some biscuits (still in love with the Helen Thomas book mothhawk recommended) and they came out OK. But it'll take me a while to get used to cooking with gas after wood. How sad... we'll just have to keep eating biscuits till I feel brave enough to try a cake.

Can I come with you Snoop Puss seems ages since my jab (last and only outing for a year) and I love a picnic

Oh JanieB that wasn't a good start to the weekend my children bought me one of those string things to avoid mishaps but I just kept getting dirt on them as I leaned over the cuttings

My sheets are drying too Florence Fennel (I hope) do you think we may have jinxed this lovely day? I do hope not.

Somehow the sunshine makes everything a bit better - except the windows where every smear is now visible, shutting my eyes to it though. Hoping everyone has some sunshine to enjoy today.

    Good morning all.
Had to stay in this morning to wait for the district nurse to come and give my Mum her second vaccine dose. Only 8 weeks since the first one, so our local roll-out must be going really well.

    Morning all.

Off on an outing today. Going to see a man about a gas oven on the other side of town. My first outing since the end of January. Better still, we're meeting him at the duck pond so he can escort us to his place. I feel about six years old. Going in the car and seeing ducks! Oh, and it's sunny and should stay this way all day.

Sorry to hear about your glasses, Janie. Bet you were cursing. I would have.

    Have a good day, everyone.
