    Ah, I agree, a bit too late to complain.

    I do find it a bit strange that it has taken you so long realise that whar you had been supplied was not what you odered.

    One way you will without doubt know that you have a Morello tree is that the blackbirsa leave them alone.

      Now that sounds good, where can I get a Morello Cherry Tree, sour cherries make wonderful jam and wine!

        Not a morello then, The blackbirds are having a field day and the pigeons........
        I just thought because they never got chance to go dark red that the birds were having them before they were ripe..........

          Oh dear, that mucks up my theory:

          We have a Stella cherry, and what bit of fruit is on is only just turning from green to yellowish/pinkish. They must be hard as bullets, but the blackbirds seem to think they are OK to eat, and are taking as many as they can get.

          The tree was absolutely covered with blossom, but we had a frost, hence the very few fruits.

            Not true I'm afraid valmarg, I definately have a morello cherry and both wild birds and my bantams love them!
