Going to have some of the lamb tagine tonight. Despite my worry about the quinces not being ripe, they evidently were and have totally collapsed into the sauce.

Need to make more bread. I should make bigger loaves and not give so many to friends!

Oh, and leek and potato soup for lunch.

I fancy a change tonight. I've got chicken thighs out of the freezer so I think it will be sweet and sour chicken, just checked and I've got everything I need, and rice or noodles.

I must say the sweet and sour chicken was a big success. I have only made it once before, months ago.
Anybody who wants to give it a go here's the link:

Mr Snoop fancies sausages and cauliflower cheese. A bit too much fat, I reckon. We'll negotiate and with any luck it'll turn out to be cauliflower cheese with broccoli and carrots on the side. Or toad in the hole with red cabbage.

Edited to say: We settled on toad in the hole with broccoli and carrots.

I had smoked streaky bacon (husband, breakfast) to use up so tonight so it was pasta (tagliatelle) with bacon, mushrooms, peppers, courgettes, onions and garlic in a creamy white sauce with garlic bread and a small salad.

Mr Snoop came home much later than expected, so we had beans and bacon on toast.

So toad in the hole with broccoli and carrots tonight.
