Cooking tonight (Mk4)

Last night's trifle like creation was very nice. It wasn't a proper trifle as it had broken up ginger biscuits moistened with booze and orange juice in the base instead of sponge, but it did have tinned mandarins, custard and whipped cream and was finished off with a few strawberries and some ginger biscuit crumbs.

Tonight salmon baked with lemon and capers, jacket sweet potatoes, sweetcorn, and avocado and tomato salad.

Roast chicken done in a chicken brick with a lot of the veg in there too for a late lunch.

I didn't make any cake yesterday due to change of plans. But mincemeat cake for us today, plus a couple of sourdough loaves to bake.

Had double decker fried egg butties in the camper. Too full now to eat anything else!

Hot Dogs with loads of onions. Throw Out postponed until tomorrow (live football for Himself tonight so eating takes a back seat). There may be cake.

Meatballs, mashed potatoes, PSB, carrots, beetroot and a creamy Ikea type sauce/gravy.

I've got some odds and ends of fruit to use up so some kind of trifle-like creation.

Sourdough loaf to start off for baking tomorrow morning. Orange ring cake for a friend. And possibly a mincemeat cake for us too.

I've probably eaten more sugar than is good for me today. Hard to stop munching on our grapes. Black Muscat, we think, and delicious.

Looks like veg soup is the order of the day.

More extremely ripe bananas in the bowl. Already got one banana and raisin cake in the freezer. Looks like another two might join it.

Tonight fish fingers, potato scallops in beer batter (leftover beer for the cook), peas and parsley sauce.

Orange jelly with mandarins in (already chilling in the fridge) and cream.
