Tonight ended up being Lincolnshire sausage, mashed potatoes, carrots, french beans, beetroot, a big mountain of fried onions and gravy. I have a feeling it might be a windy night!!!

Having read about Cullen Skink I’ve been fancying some smoked haddock. And guess what!…the supermarket was selling it today on the fresh fish counter.
So - change of plan ….. veggies postponed until tomorrow and we had tumble salad with smoked haddock and poached eggs.

It's no good. That toad is refusing to be eaten. Got to be tonight though. We ended up with pasta and some of my frozen pesto, diluted with a bit of extra oil and some of the pasta water. Really good. So very pleased I did it.
A couple of Irish tea breads, one for us and one for a friend.Location: north-east Spain, where the sun is too hot, the rain too torrential, the hail too big, the wind too windy and the snow too deep. Last frost: usually mid-April, sometimes first week in May. First frost: mid-October.

Tonight, leek, pea and mint samosas with a mixed veg curry of some variety or other.
