  • This morning I was fancying something different. I asked my husband what he fancied. Immediate answer....all day breakfast. We have just had sausage, bacon, eggs, tomato and fried bread. It was "Amazing" according to my hubby (seconded by me). I just hope he doesn't get acid tonight. I didn't go the whole hog.... no fried mushrooms or black pudding.

                • Yesterday I made stew in the slow cooker and we had it with Yorkshire puddings.

Today, leftover stew, dumplings, mashed potatoes and cabbage.

                      • Pasta bake tonight, with garlic bread, avocado and grapefruit salad and a big sprinkle of parmesan cheese....and a glass or two of wine. I was going to make a pudding but husband says he'll be too full. He can always have some fruit if he changes his mind or banana and cream. If he keeps ignoring the bananas I'll be making banana loaf again in the next few days (my favourite).

                        • Tonight: roast pork from the freezer and assorted veg. Not sure about pud. Maybe a magdalena dolled up with some creme fraiche and raspberry jam.

Well that is plain weird. In your post, it says lead and broccoli, which I was going to make a joke about, but in this quotation it says peas and broccoli. I keep going back to check and yes, your post definitely says lead. I can't even begin to imagine how that happens.

Anyway, for us, saltimboccas with assorted veg for lunch. Supper: broccoli soup.

It's a miserable day here and my mood is all over the place. What say we to a slice of Christmas pud to cheer us all up? I don't have any cream, but a bit of mascarpone would do very well I think.
