Chilli and rice with added jalapeno, mushrooms and onions.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,

Going to be a nice day so another BBQ for us.

Chicken legs, hallumi, courgettes and oranges...maybe some jacket spuds fresh from the ground.
Served with a side salad of our lettuce and cucumber.

Yesterday went awry. Not because of work but because I spent a lot of it asleep! So a rerun of yesterday but I've gone off the idea of onion tart so
            lunch: quiche lorraine and salad
            supper: bean salad I think
Mini rondos while oven is hot after the quiche.

Yesterday I baked a gammon joint. We had it with potato gratin, carrots, the first of this years french beans and mustard sauce.
This morning I was sitting here for ages with a coffee trying to think of something to have tonight when I eventually remembered there was a half a baked gammon joint in the fridge. We'll have it with a jacket potato, tomato, pesto and mozzarella bake, and hopefully courgette fritters (first of the year).

Salad plus baked gilt-head bream. Looking forward to it. Very greedy to have a whole one each. But we were driving along on our way to the supermarket, discussing the impossibility of going out for a meal, so I decided to have a splurge on fish. Also bought a whole cod, but it's badly filleted. Shame.

Need to go and have a look at the cod this morning to portion it up and freeze some. Supper tonight will be cod baked on assorted veg.

Also want to make a fish stock with the head and bones.

Didn't make the crackers the other day, so will try and make those today and bake before fish goes in to the oven.

We did the same snoop re buying fresh fish.
It's stupidly expensive here but seeing as we've not eaten out anywhere since early March I thought it'd be a bit of a treat.
Then I froze most of it too
Think I best get some out soon....

We weren't hungry yesterday in the end, so nada de nada (literally, nothing of nothing) got cooked. Hope today is an improvement:

Baked Moghlai-style cod korma with spicy courgettes and lemon rice.

Plus, the crackers I still haven't made and a carrot cake.
