Thanks, Bren. Will show that to Mr Snoop.

In the end, we had sausage and saffron risotto followed by apple and ricotta cake.

D has requested toad in the hole tonight. Had the range on late last night to bake bread. Much too hot in the kitchen. Due for a bit of rain today, but can't bear the idea of baking again and earlier. If I do, I'll make some flapjacks and a tarta de Santiago for the freezer.

As I sadly discovered white onion rot in my allium patch today, a large pot of French onion soup is currently bubbling away on the stove.

Turkey tumble salad last night followed by a tarte tartin made with caramelised pears instead of apple.

    - not quite sure about tonight yet -although it will involve munching through the rest of the tarte tartin!

Also, I've discovered why my baguette slashing isn't very good: the blade isn't very sharp. Don't ask what I did to work this out. I'm certainly not telling Mr Snoop...
