Thanks compostman and yoanbob. OH has threatened to find a bigger place with an outhouse for all my bits and bobs so I can brew/preserve to my heart's content. When I mentioned cask to him yesterday for the rice wine he developed a long suffering look and asked me where I would store it knowing full well the answer was either "I'll deal with that when the time comes", "Well if you put up those shelves I keep asking for" or "There's always the attic/shed/space under the worktop in the kitchen". But for a change he got ..... "It's only going to be a little one."

        Roll on smallholding/spare room.
        Bright Blessings

If at first you don't succeed, open a bottle of wine.
