  • Yet another plant ID - looks like a nettle but isn't!

    What is it there are several in a small cluster amongst 4ft nettles quite sure they are nothing I have planted as they are in the path (or what should be) rather than what was/ meant to be a bed (yes my gardening this year has been almost none existant) Anyhoo...

    I think I have found it. A type of woundwort/ betony

      Stachys sylvatica - Hedge woundwort. https://www.first-nature.com/flowers...-sylvatica.php
      I hate it!! Smells awful and spreads with long white roots that snap off if you're not careful when pullling it up.
      Sneaky and smelly.

          It is - its horrible and the smell stays on your hands after you've pulled it up. YUK!!!
