I planted a tree peony last year, in the wrong place now i think.
Is it okay to move it now or should i wait untill it's dormant?

I would usually move a plant during its dormant season. It shouldn't be too difficult if it's only been in its place for a year. Good luck with it.Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.

Right now is not it's dormant period. They are currently flowering. Try October late - November. Take rootball and soil.Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better...Albert Einstein

Yeah, i had one lovely flower this year and hope to keep it allive after the move it'll look beautifull with loads on. My currants weren't doing so well in pots so i had to plant them in the same bed and now they're competing a bit. I'll move it when you say and hope for the best, thank you.Comment

I have moved young plant before and all mine are now multi stemmed 3-4' tall and covered in flowers. You should be fine if you wait and take lots of care. Claire Austin link should be a good one to look at as she is related to the David Austin rose family. They both stock tree peonies.
Just ensure you take as much soil as you can. Try adding Rootgrow at same time as move to help it re-establish.Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better...Albert Einstein
