    Hi Abby
We have one in the walled garden I am reclaiming - a variety called "rubra" which is a dark red - check out some of the more recent weeks on my Scotsburn blog (click on the link below) and you should find a piccie of it - can't be more specific about which week but certainly last three or four entries should cover it.

          Venice

"Venice" is the darkest one I have seen. I have astrantia "shaggy", Rubra and "Prima Donna" but am waiting to add "Venice" to my collection.

I've been looking for Hadspen Blood after I saw it on GW or something similar - looked absolutely gorgeous and very dark.

I received the T&M autumn catalogue this morning and in it they have two dark red Astrantia - "Venice" and "Moulin Rouge" - might be worth looking at thie website.
