Saving french marigold?

Just pop them in a paper bag (not plastic) and put them somewhere dry - then in September or October pop them in an Envelope and label them. Flowers for next year!

You can try, by storing them in a paper bag as DTC says, but even though the flowers were dry the seed may not be fully mature.

I'm afraid Rusty is right: the seeds were not mature if the plants hadn't completely dried out (and turned brown & crispy)

oh, is it worth trying to pop a few into some compost to see if they are ok?

How would I save some for next year that I've planted out in between the tomatoes?

By all means try a couple to see if they're viable.

I let mine seed themselves (on the lotty). They are now about an inch high. You just need to let them get good and dead (brown & crispy) and then harvest the seed
