Hello all.
I have a couple of spare large containers with nothing growing so I'm thinking of getting a couple more David Austin shrub roses. After speaking with staff from DA today I have decided on the roses to buy.
DA say to use a mix of 50/50 JI number 3 & peat based MPC. Make sure there is good drainage and not to use farm yard maure as this will make the mix too rich.
I'm glad I asked because i would have thought about just using JI 3 & FYM.
I was told using 100% JI would set like cement.
What are you guys using and can anyone recommend a peat base compost?
