In my infinite wisdom I thought it looked like some sort of lupin? Probably not though so feel free to ignore me!

The leaves look like groundsel - but not sure as the flowers don't - so it might be a flower and not a weed

Thank you. That led me to a wild flower site and I have now found it. Reseda lutea – Wild Mignonette

Thank you all for you trying

One of the yellow Dyers Weld species, then - I've never actually seen this growing!

I've been racking my brains all morning as I knew the plant! It grows wild on the island I used to guide on, we called it weld and I'd tell people how it was used for dyeing - but I'd completely forgotten its name Must be getting old

The site is actually a seed site but I have gone on there before for info when trying to find something https://wildseed.co.uk/species/view/115

It is a completely random self seeder. It is in the front driveway area where things often pop up. Red valerian, purple toadflax, white silene (which I think I may have lost), buddleia. I will be checking its cut flower power next week and saving seed if it is any good
