  • Nothings Growing Tall

Please tell me it's not just me. I'm having a problem making my tall plants grow tall. Foxgloves flowering at 2ft. Sweet peas flowering at 2ft. Cosmos that grew over 4ft last year in full flower at 2ft. My Borders are all back to front. Most frustrating. Anyone else suffering the same and any ideas why it's happening!?

Its not just you. When I went to Wisley on Saturday the alliums were all a lot smaller than they should have been and so were some of the other flowers. Think it was the long winter and late frosts we had. It's put everything back including my veg.

It's the flipping weather. Be grateful you have flowers. The only thing that looks normal in my garden at the mo is the big red oriental poppy. The delphiniums look really strange. Sort of short heads on long stems if you know what I mean.

Drought & windy conditions will stunt plants. My foxgloves are later & shorter than usual, but I'm having a brilliant crop of Sweet William and cornflowers
