  • Leaving Sweet Williams in the ground

It pains me to remove my Sweet Williams when they have flowered. Is it worth leaving them in the ground to flower again in subsequent years?

You can leave them Benacre but they're never as good again. They might be not bad the second year but after that they're not worth the space they occupy.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.

I wouldn't bother. As Alice says they are never as good in subsequent years. & they are easy enough to raise from seed.
