  • Ivy in a Hanging Basket

Not sure where to put this, mods please move if it is in the wrong place.

We have 2 ivy plants that have always been kept in the house. I was thinking of putting them in a hanging basket this year. Is this a good idea and if so, should I aclimatise them a bit later in the year.

    All help is mucho appreciated.

Some ivies are only meant for indoor growing, so make sure you have one that is suitable.

If you put them outside then harden them off in the usual way.

you'll probably find there was 3 or 4 cuttings in the pot so you may be able to split them.

As insurance you could always try taking some cuttings before you put them out

Cuttings are dead easy, just snip off a 5" length and root it in a glass of water
