  • food for rose cuttings in the ground

very excited, I've got a rose cutting sprouting (from the "shove a stick in the ground somewhere shady" method).

Is there anything I can mulch/dress/feed etc it to help it?

It's a lovely scented rose that grows by our front door, and it's so nice to smell it when I get home from work.

I once read that banana skins are good for roses so I always throw them around the base (don't know if they actually do any good) but my roses do look happy. The skins rot away very quickly.

If it ever stops raining I'll be sprinkling a 'good pinch' of BF&B around my Buff Beauty cuttings
