    7th February
Noticed on the way back from the hospital in my garden, the head of a yellow crocus, it was just the welcome home I needed from a depressing trip. Spring is on its way folks. Has anyone else got dafs or crocus showing yet?

No not yet. Don't know why but the bulbs always come up later where we live.

One tiny primula head only. The squirrels ate all the snowdrops. A few grape hyacynth in a tub. Got 1000 daffodil bulbs trying to grow on the allotment - now about 3ins high! No crocus yet. Love flowers- a real mood lifter! won't be long though now......

We've had such a mild winter, that snowdrops are out already and daffs are already about 2 inches out of the ground. Not bad as we normally have still got daffodils in the garden in May!
I noticed too that the fuschia has lots of green buds on it already.
As you say not far off .... but there's always that bit of snow that comes in March unfortunately, so hope they are not popping up too soon!

Aerodynamically the bumblebee shouldn't be able to fly, but the bumblebee doesn't know that so it goes on flying anyway.

                  Coming on a storm

I planted beds of daffodils last year and they are coming up with vengeance! The yellow crocus has yet to open. I will soon be taking the nets off my bed.

                      Crocus

I have purple crocus out and on our round-a-bouts in Gosport they are a mass of yellow. My neighbour has snowdrops and daffys. Spring has sprung.

My valentines’ gift arrived today. 200 snowdrops in the green. Now that beats a fluffy toy hands down.
