  • Extra Chrysanthemums.

Just received my second batch of six late flowering greenhouse chrysanths from Woolmans. I received six outdoor flowring named varieties three weeks ago.
I would really like double the amount of named varieties but couldn't afford it.
I already have loads of chrysanths and I know how quickly they grow at this time of year and how easy it is to take cuttings.

The plants are usually 'stopped' when they are six inches tall to make them grow sideshooots which you limit to four or five for large cut flowers.

My plan is to let them grow to NINE inches before stopping them by taking the top three inches off. This way I will have one cutting per plant and hopefully double my stock by rooting the cuttings!

to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)

    Diversify & prosper
