  • Eeek Green Delphiniums

    Last year the delphinium was dark mauve but this year it is green, that is the flowers. It produced several spikes as usual and then the bottom flowers opened with mauve streaks on them and the further up the spike went the greener they got. In the end the top of the spike produced leaves.

    Any suggestions as to what caused this and will it happen again next year.

      Will try but they are not actually mine but going to see the friend on Wednesday so will get one then.

        Here you are. What looks like seed heads above the flowers are seed pod shaped but in face when un-rolled have the rudiments of leaves. Bizzare!!!!
