    Default Delphiniums won’t germinate

Seeds are in a propagator. 21 degrees C. Been in there for 3 weeks. This is my second attempt. Still no joy. Its the principle of the thing now!! I will not be beaten. Any ideas?

Have you tried soaking them overnight before sowing?

It may be the seed - is it a new pack?

I've come to the conclusion that some seed is no good when you buy it - quite why this should be I don't know, but obviously if true it means that something goes wrong during the harvesting, storage or sales part of the supplier.

I'd advise hanging on to the seed packet and contacting the seed company if you have no luck. I reckon they keep records of batches of seed so they have some idea if one of them they sold was duff.

Delphinium society says too much heat can stop germination.
