  • Dahlia Buying Advice

    Hi Guys

I would like to buy some Dahlia Tubers to run along the outside of my polytunnel. I have seen this deal on ebay. Works out £1.90 per tuber. Does this seem like a good deal? I am going to plant them up in soil and take cuttings so should be able to get myself a fair few out of this. Or should I be looking in the garden centres?

    Any help most appreciated.

Hi Wizer, it depends what sort they are & what you are after. I bought some pot tubers ( like the ones from holland) last year from a chap in scotland

    http://www.dahliaworld.co.uk/lochend.htm

He was very helpful. If you just want them for cutting ask him if he will do you a colection of 6 or so Wizer. I had some spare pot tubers a couple of weeks ago but I think I've ditched them. I'll check & let you know. If I've still got them you can have them for postage costs if you like.

Nice Pom Poms Wizer. Lovely colour. If your growing them for cut flowers, watch pit for the earwigs. The pom poms can be full of them.

I don't want them, so if anyone does, I'll post you the coupon. First come first served!

Wilkinsons stores have dahlias @ 2 for £1.50 (£1 varieties) and seem to have a pretty good choice.
