  • Clematis Wilt

For christmas I had a lovely red clematis which has flowered, I put it in the ground at the lottie, I added some compost as the ground is so hard and stoney, Kept it watered. I think it has clematis wilt so what do I do now. cut it all back to the ground, or leave some. Its only small so not a lot to cut back.

They usually reckon deep planting helps avoid clematis wilt. You won't make it worse cutting it back but if you can plant it deeper or mound up soil over it it might throw up shoots from below. Good luck with it.
