  • Allium seeds

    Hi

I've saved some seeds from my alliums a few years ago and wondered if now is the right time to sow them, or is autumn preferable?

Also, any tips on how to sow them please?

How many years ago? I'd get them in asap.

Sow them in seed compost, as deep as they are, and once they are about 3 inches tall, transplant them to their final positions.

They are probably about 2 years old now. Just found them at the bottom of the seed box!

Would you sow them with any heat, or in a cold greenhouse?

Either - if you have heat then pop them in there for a few days but I'm sure they will germinate just slower in an unheated greenhouse
