    This Acer was put in this pot around 15 years ago and apart from an annual top dressing it just gets on with it, I thought it looks a picture, so I took one.

    That’s Acer shirasawanum 'Aureum' which just happens to be a favourite.

    Unfortunatly it scorches to death in my garden.

      Looks lovely. Carol bought me a nice Acer last year and the year before. Both now sadly dead because they didn't like the exposed southern spot in my front garden. thye don't like a lot of wind appearantly.

        We are coastal and the garden is very windy at times, seems to surviving ok, I do put the plant in the shed over winter though.
