  • When to plant a blue berry bush?

I understand that they will not produce a crop for a couple of years, but even so i am eager to get a couple of these plants growing asap!

Would I be better of buying them and planting them in the autumn/winter or in the spring/summer?

    Thanks!

get them in asap. You are looking forward to getting a crop in a couple of years but it may be as many as five years before you get anything worthwhile.

If money is no object, get a couple of well established bushes. I think I paid around £15 each for mine but got fruit in the first year. Remember to check for compatible varieties for pollinations and use ericaceous compost.

I think i will be willing to fork out if it shaves years off of the cropping time! Btw, how big do these grow? and do they like constant sun or some shade?

I have mine in pots in full sun, they are about 3' tall at the moment but then again I don't know how tall they do actually grow.

wouldn't help me mate. It says replace the soil to a depth of three feet with peat. I get a spits depth of my spade and I'm down to the hard

I might debate that AP........not sure if 3' square is the same as 3' cubed......I read it as a 3' square hole but note 3' deep.
