  • various fruit bushes

I have several bushes which I planted last year in pots. These include raspberry, tayberry, blackcurrent and blueberry. I had a little bit of fruit off these last year. All the bushes have now started to bud. Will it be possible to plant these in the garden now. I have a very big garden but unfortunately most of it is dare I say it, flagged. I have a 2 foot wide border all the way round it. will there be enough room for the bushes. The garden tends to get waterlogged if we get a lot of rain. many thanks for your help

Hi Spikejack. You should still be able to transplant although, if they are in bud you had better move quickly. Get the pots very wet, you want to take all the soil or compost with them. And once the are bedded out water well again and keep them well watered for a few weeks, the waterlogged garden should actually help here. I would spread some mulch round the bases in case we get another spell of frost, just while they are settling. Don't worry about the flags. The roots will go under them and won't lift them.
Why didn't Noah just swat those 2 greenflies?

Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?
