    Suggestions and help please

    My family and I are big fruit and veg eaters and since I've now planted out a fair bit of the Veg I want to concentrate on the fruit aspect.

    I have a bed ready for planting and plenty of space in my garden which gets full sun most of the day until about 6pm.

    I did save a rhubarb plant and a blueberry bush from Focus' closing down sale. The blueberries were practically a stick in a bucket and the rhubarb looked like a pot of mud. Now the rhubarb is thriving and the blueberries have grown well and have lots of new shoots and buds about to grow - although I do need to repot them both asap.

    Im looking for suggestions of some things that are relatively easy to grow as this is my first year.

    What sort of fruit do you like to eat? Currants (black, red and white) are easy to grow, as are gooseberries, strawberries and raspberries.

      Some (additions) to this list of very easy fruit to grow : blackberries, japanese wineberry, tayberry.
      If you have the place to plant some trees (2-3 m high): cherries, apples, pears and plums are fairly easy to grown as well. You can also throw in a hazelnut

        Most fruit bushes are very easy to grow and some are on sale now in places like LIDL and Aldi.
        With your little one you may want to stay away from thorny bushes like gooseberries, blackberries and loganberries although thornless varieties are available.
        Also, if you're planting against a fence you may want to grow something that can be trained against it to make the most of your space with fruit bushes in front of it.
        You really have to decide what you like to eat first!

            your rhubarb will do better int he ground thsn in a pot.
            quince tree? plum tree?
