Look very rhubarb like to me, although what do I know? Today I pulled up a clump of daffs that had the temerity to appear in one of the raised beds, only to find they were some form of spring onion that must have self seeded last year.

I can heartily recommend the rhubarb schnapps.

Is it OK to move rhubarb at this time of year? Where it is isn't very good - I took over the allotment and have chosen a half one - the rhubarb is right in the middle of where our joint path needs to be

I'm no expert but if my rhubarb was already showing itself I would probably leave it till next winter.
Having said that, its incredibly hardy stuff and may well survive. Depends how urgent your need is I guess.

I moved rhubarb on our lottie in march last year when we took it on . We didn't pick anything off it cos it was in a sorry state when we found it. , if you do decide to pick then leave about 4 sticks on it .

It's absolutely right in the very wrongest place it could be

It's going to get stamped on and alsorts where it is

I might move it this weekend - ultimately I thought I was going to have to buy rhubarb so if it doesn't make it this summer I'm still in the same position as I thought I would be

now, that would also give me the excuse to get a couple of other types too

when it's dormant (Dec-Feb) is the very best time, so get cracking
