  • Raspberry - Yellow Leaf

    Hi

Its my first year growing Raspberries. They are growing in a large pot until i can transfer them. The leaves have started going yellow and it looks like something has been eating the leaves. Can anyone sugest anything? Bought or home remidies?

    Thank you

There are many possible causes, and each cause has a specific "cure".
Just randomly spraying chemicals will be a waste of money (especially as raspberries are readily available and very cheap to buy). Random spraying might do more harm than good, or lead to nutrient or other imbalances which have knock-on effects.

A picture is the only way to have a chance of making an accurate diagnosis.

The yellow leaves look like older ones, and this is fairly normal. Your new growth looks healthy so I wouldn't worry too much. When were they planted in their pots?

I think I would give them a dose of Epsom salts, they might be lacking some magnesium which is needed to make green chlorophyll in the leaves.

Can do, or simply sprinkle a bit onto the top of the soil and water it in. It soon breaks down =)
