  • Plum Tree Enquiry

    Hi all,

I've got an allotment with a plum tree in it. I started my allotment last July 2015 and the tree had a couple of plums. On another visit, they were gone so wasn't sure if they got ripped and formed or not. This year, I didn't prune the tree in Winter (it's said it should be done in July) but I've added FBB and rotten horse manure around the base. I've also sprayed it with Winter tree wash last March along with the other trees.

It started blooming and it looked fine but after a while all the blooms turned brown and in clumps. I'm not sure if that is natural or is it diseased. There are green leaves growing but I'm not sure if it will bear a fruit. Can you please have a look at the pictures and advise? Thanks!

It is fine it is just the flowers dying back. At this point they are not far enough on to show any fruit starting but it looks promising with the amount of blossom you have/had.
