    Picking Apples

    Hi All

    How will I know when to pick my apples? Are they ripe when they fall on thier own or do I pick them..................... Silly I know but I'm really not sure

    If you hold the apple and give a lift and a little twist it should come away easily without tugging. Some fall early cos they've been got at by something ..

      some vareties mature later than others so have a bite of a fresh windfall apple and let your tastebuds decide

        I collected some windfalls today and baked them, Lovely ) I did try a slice raw and it was even nicer.
