  • Patio Pear.cherry and plum

I already have two fan trained apples on the fence but fancy a dwarf plum, cherry and pear to grow n pots.

£34.92 inclusive of delivery is the best price I can find for the three potted dwarf plants online from Van Muewen.

I had hoped there would be Boxing Day fruit sales online but I can't find any.

This seems a lot cheaper price than other sellers online so I hope the quality is still there.

Thanks, you are right VC prices are the same.

I was wondering whether it was worth waiting until the new year in case any promotional codes became available?

Just to bump this thread a bit. I ordered dwarf pear, dwarf cherry, dwarf plum and a Mulberry from T&M when they had a 20% reduction.

I now have the pear, cherry and plum on the kitchen windowsill (still awaiting the Mullbery)

We have about 3 inches of snow outdoors at the mo.The small pots they are in would probably freeze solid.

Do I keep them inside, or put them out do you think? I also have large pots for them, but they would be lost in them at present. would I be better growing them on for a year in a MFB for a season before planting in final large pots do you think?

              How small is "dwarf"?
              You make them sound tiny!

They are patio dwarf fruit trees. At present they are in a 4 inch pot and look like a stick about 18 inches high.

                  This is the cherry info-

                  https://www.thompson-morgan.com/p/ch...-tree/t10442TM

It recommends a 2 foot container which they will be lost in.

I've found that T&M plants are always a lot smaller than expected
I'd leave them as they until the weather improves.

Agreed. The only problem is that if they start sprouting leaves with the warmth from being indoors then are put outside the sprouted leaves will die. I suppose I could wrap them in bubble wrap when I eventually consign them to the outdoors or just hope that a heatwave is forthcoming!

Put them somewhere cold like the garage/GH and keep them dormant?

I haven't got a garage and my greenhouse has no roof on! They could go in the shed I suppose.

The shed will do - try to put them up high so the mice can't get at them - probably put a bit of bubble-wrap round them too if they were mine.
