  • How many times does a pineapple plant produce a fruit?

I recently bought a pineapple plant from a garden centre with a small pineapple growing out of it. This has since rotted and i had to cut it off. Will the plant throw out another fruit, or is that it? a one time wonder?

In this country and climate you're pretty unlikely to get any pineapples at all but give it a try for a challenge

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

          Ahem...

This got big enough to eat. Time span - 18 months from planting the pineapple top to flower bud, 6 months till fruit was ripe. (Grew it on the kitchen windowsill).

Edit: oops, sorry - resized pic.
