I don't think they are available as seeds, aren't they a cross?

        I found this:

"I have grown these berry plants from seed. After a cold, moist, winter stratification, they sprout readily enough but losses ...were fairly high over time. The plants produce berries in two to three years, and seem fairly true-to-form with the parents.
Clearly however, the way to propagate this plant is through layering of the branches in moist soil"

I had never heard of them- so had a bit of a google in the night.

          A blueberry flavoured edible honeysuckle.

          sounds lovely!!!!

          good luck with your quest!

mmm..... layering is the way forward then , but propagation by this method will just as slow as seed,(a year pinned down in soil per stem -and i will have to get quite a mature plant to do this.

would like to find a seed supplier though

If you grew from seed how do you identify which are male and which are female bearing in mind that you need one of each for pollination.

                Hi

i wouldnt have a clue about male/female - i just thought that is was cheaper to produce a couple of plants from seed than going out to buy some

Apparently they are a bit like apple trees an that you need to choose the partners carefully as they flower at different times too!!!

Have to say I'm tempted to buy a couple after reading up about them!
