So am looking for some UK suitable seedless grapevine varieties that I can dry the grapes of to make sultanas, raisins or currants. Any recommendations?

The two choices are outdoors on my allotment plot but in a fairly sheltered position or in the greenhouse.
Not massively keen on the greenhouse encase it gets a bit rampant + all diseases that manifest in poor ventilation, but if it's the only way it will grow that's fine.
I'm in Bromley in the South East of London.
I did a bit more research last night, and although there are few references to drying grapes, one or two came up for these seedless grapes:

Full sun, full sun and full sun. To dry them out naturally you want as long a season as possible with as much sun and well ventilated. Other option is to buy a dehydrater.
Edit: You may struggle to make currants from a grapevine
Edit edit: Zante currants come from a grape variety called Black Corinth. Just looked at sunnybanks who hold the national collection and they don't have it so may prove difficult to get hold of in the UK.Last edited by Norfolkgrey; 24-04-2019, 10:15 AM.Comment

Wasps may be an issue if you leave them out we’ve got an old grapevine that came with the house- we got lists of fruit that was all decimated by wasps they had my figs too

Why on earth decide to produce raisins or currants in this country? Rather grow a vine for eating or making wine and get your dried fruit from Tesco. I’m with Fishpond!Comment
