  • goosberry bushes

The plot I have just taken on has five goosberry bushes in a line between two apple trees. The trees look fairly old and are around 12ft high. Should I move the goosberries to another position, as they are just begining to bud or leave them in place

Why not leave it be and see how they go for this year?
No point in giving yourself extra work if it works well!

I'd be tempted to leave them until they're dormant. Also they may have been planted like that for a reason, as I've said elsewhere, my soft fruit bushes do double duty as windbreaks.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

Leave them to see what happens, you may be pleasantly surprised.

If you have to move them, do their late autumn prune and then move them.
