  • Flowering rhubarb.

My Rhubarb has been fab so far this year, however one of the crowns has just thrown up a spectacular flower. Not quite sure what to do with it.
Is it best to leave well alone or chop it out?

    Thanks

Definitely pull it out. I don't ever chop rhubarb. Pull sharply and the stem (or flowering spike) will come away cleanly.

        Thanks for the advice.
So if I pull and twist like I would usually harvest, it will come out without damaging the crown?
